This program helps participants overcome barriers and obstacles to effective teaming in their workplace. Participants in “Teamwork” learn to use strategies that enhance the synergy between team members to create a strong team environment (1 or 2 day seminar). Specifically, participants will learn:

- how to build a strong team
- how to overcome team-building barriers
- how to improve team communications and become an effective team participant
How do you get things done and influence others when you don’t have authority? How do you get your boss, your team, your coworkers and even your staff to adopt your ideas and implement your plans? In this program, participants will learn to use persuasion and influence skills to maximize their chances of getting what they want from an interaction. Attendees will learn how to build credibility, improve communication skills, and identify which of the six influence tactics to utilize in a relationship and interaction. (1 day seminar).
The average employee spends 40-60% of their day listening yet most of us are only 25% effective as listeners. Active listening is a difficult skill but a critical component of effective workplace relationships. This program is either a 1/2 or 1-day program where participants learn how to remove listening barriers that negatively impact effective work relationships. Participants practice active listening and are given experiential exercises which promote their skills in mastering listening, even in difficult listening environments.
Almost every problem, conflict, mistake and misunderstanding has, at its most basic level, a communication problem. We can’t change anyone but ourselves and when we change the way we communicate our goals, thoughts and ideas to others, we positively change the reaction of others to our message. High standards of communication effectives are critical for professional success in today’s rapidly changing world. The goal of this program is to help improve interpersonal relationships by improving all aspects communication.
Richard J. Mayer states: Conflict can bring out the best or the worst life has to offer. Learn to avail yourself of its benefits and to minimize its drawback’s. No two people think alike on everything and although conflict is thought of as a negative, it can often build relationships, improve work performance and jump start creativity. Skillful conflict management can turn many of life’s disagreeable experiences into experiences of personal growth and success. In this program, participants will identify their conflict style, learn how to minimize conditions which create conflict and improve their interpersonal skills so that they can be more effective at managing conflict. (a ½ day, 1 or 2-day program).
Assertive individuals express themselves with confidence without infringing upon the needs or rights of others. Those who choose to act in an assertive manner can handle interpersonal disagreements and maintain good relationships while achieving their own goals. “The Art of Assertiveness” teaches all levels of employees how to identify and address challenging situations in an assertive and productive manner. Participants will practice assertive behavior - the behavior required for “win-win” outcomes in negotiations, conflict resolution and everyday business dealings. (a ½ day or 1 day program).
Providing excellent customer service – a positive customer experience, is what will keep your customers coming back. Good customer service differentiates a successful from an unsuccessful business. In today’s customer-oriented business environment, "customer focused skills" are critical for personal and organizational success. How you handle your customers can directly affect your individual goals as well as your team’s and company’s performance. This training seminar on providing good customer service, gives you the skills you need to communicate professionalism, gain respect, enhance customer relationships and secure an overall competitive advantage through customer service excellence.
Choosing the right candidate for a job is a difficult process. The subjective nature of the interview can cause problems for the hiring manager and the organization. This training seminar will help hiring managers utilize effective and legal questions that will improve the chances of “hiring right”. Specifically, trainees will learn to identify and use behaviorally-based interviewing, write legal and effective questions, tools and techniques for finding talent, set up interview conditions, listen actively as an interviewer, and record interview “data” so that the most qualified candidate can be selected in either a one-on-one or panel interview situation. (1 or 2 day seminar).
Good writing skills can help you come across as more credible, more capable and more professional than colleagues with typos and grammatical errors. Your writing skills are a reflection of your professionalism and this seminar will help you communicate your written message in a clear, professional manner. Specifically, this program covers: delivering a direct message, making key points stand out, using clear and concise sentences, employing correct grammar, punctuation and usage, and applying special techniques for persuasion. This program can be conducted on-site for 1, 2 or 3 days or can be half-day sessions over a given period of time.
